Bow Cases
Traditional Archery is making a reinsurgance as some archers tire of the gizmos and gadgets most compound shooters use.  Getting back to "stick and string" or "bow and arrow" brings archers back to the roots of archery.  For millenium, archers used nothing more than a longbow, arrows, and a quiver to defend and feed themselves.  Ancient Asians developed the recurve, but it was still just "stick and string" and a marginal improvement over the longbow.  The English longbow played a crucial part in the medieval English army, the pinnacle being the English victory at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.  The modern traditional archer has much better string materials to use, with more consistent shafts and heads but the basics are still the same.  Most are shot without the aid of a release, instead using a finger tab or shooting glove.  Arrow rests are sometimes merely a flipper shelf that the arrow sits on, and many times not used at all with the top of the hand or  more typically the riser shelf providing the arrow rest.  Sights are typically not used, so instinctive shooting skills are learned and used.  Carbon shafts now come in a wood-grained look, so archers can use the new carbon shafts with traditional gear. It is amazing how accurate practiced tradtional archers can be while instinctively shooting.  Ye Olde Archery Shoppe carries everything you need to get started in traditional archery, from traditional quivers to cedar shafts.  Traditional bow cases to longbows and recurve bows.
